The monkeys welcomed guest producer for the night Souljam. Souljam played us a live mix of some of his latest tracks and talked a bit of blah about what he is up to at present. Souljam, aka James Whitehead, has been DJing all over the globe for many years now and has been busy producing his own original beats for the last four. This months show featured fresh and yet to be released tracks from local artists Pickle, Loophole and Spiral Soundsystem. Plus a special preview of live DJ Bailey action from Nottingham, UK, to get us all amped-up for his show at Soho on Friday 21st of April, presented by Mane Stage. We also slipped in some absolutely manic jungle-mash by Toecutter, which had some naughty words in it - oops! Special guests were DJ Sym and René, whom brought plenty of dub on vinyl, but the little rascal dropped and wrecked the stylus on the way into the studio and we couldn’t play any of it.
